MGH is seeking RNs to join our Magnet-designated nursing team in our state-of-the-art multidisciplinary intensive care unit. We have exciting opportunities for Registered Nurses to work on an innovative, new, state of the art, Acute Psychiatric Service (APS), located within the Emergency Department of the Massachusetts General Hospital. This 20- bed acute psychiatry unit caring for adult and pediatric behavioral patients; many with medical co-morbidities, will be a unique setting for nurses with a passion for psychiatric nursing to practice. This dedicated behavioral health unit will be a secure environment providing milieu therapy with a team approach including nurses, psychiatric providers, mental health workers, PCA's, social workers and occupational therapists.. A multi-disciplinary team approach is focused on the psychosocial and emotional support of the patients and their families. BSN is preferred. 1 year of RN experience in any specialty is required, psychiatric or emergency department experience preferred. BLS or ACLS required within 30 days of hire.
