According to the National Institute of Health (NIH) and the National Science Foundation (NSF), a postdoc is an individual who has received a doctoral degree (or equivalent) and is engaged in a temporary and defined period of mentored advanced research training to enhance the professional skills and research independence needed to pursue his or her chosen career path. The Liang Lab in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Biochemistry at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated postdoctoral fellow to join our research team focused on studying the metabolic and molecular mechanism of human pregnancy and its related complications using cutting-edge biological techniques. Primary Functions
Knowledge - Skills - Abilities Required knowledge: biology, chemistry, statistics, documentation, records management, data utilization, complex problem solving, critical thinking, resource management, and writing skills Skills and abilities: Experience in multi-omics analysis and/or mass spectrometry is a plus.
Specifications Minimum Required Education: PhD in a scientific field or MD Preferred Education: PhD Field: Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Computational Biology, Biochemical Sciences or related Why MCW?
