Nurse Intern- Emergency Department - Contingent - Warren

GENERAL SUMMARY

Department: Emergency - Schedule: Will work 36 hours within a 6 week schedule - Hospital: Henry Ford Warren - Location: Warren, MI

Under the supervision of a nurse, provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. - Complete assigned nursing orders as directed by preceptor, including assisting patient with activities of daily living and taking vital signs. - Observe patient status and responses. Document and report observations to preceptor or other appropriate staff. - Assist preceptor with development of care plan by reporting test results and patient observations. - Perform other tasks as assigned, including environmental services and preparing/transporting patients for diagnostic services.
