Location: Syracuse, NY Job ID: #71535 Pay Range: $42-50 12 months Job Description We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to manage our chemical management system. The successful candidate will serve as the primary interface with our chemical management vendor and will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient management of chemicals used in our manufacturing processes. This includes chemical additions, notifications from suppliers, system maintenance, and administration tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Primary Job Responsibilities: 1. **Chemical Additions:** * Manage the addition of new chemicals to the system, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. * Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth integration of new chemicals. 2. **Chemical Notifications:** * Receive and respond to notifications from vendors regarding chemical changes, recalls, or other issues. * Collaborate with internal teams to mitigate risks and impacts associated with these notifications. 3. **System Maintenance and Administration:** * Perform routine maintenance and administration tasks to ensure the chemical management system is up-to-date and functioning correctly. * Troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions as needed. 4. **General Floor Support:** * Provide technical support and guidance to production teams on chemical-related issues. * Ensure that chemical handling and storage procedures are followed correctly. 5. **Cost and Schedule Analysis:** * Analyze cost and schedule data to identify opportunities for cost reduction, elimination of chemical shortages, and process efficiency improvements. * Develop and implement strategies to achieve these goals, in collaboration with internal stakeholders. Key Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as manufacturing engineering, project management, or a related discipline. Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, project management, or a related discipline with a strong focus on process management and data analytics. Excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to adapt to different learning styles and environments. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess training needs and develop effective programs to address gaps in knowledge and skills.
