Overview

This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit's Commercial Business Units ("Spirit Commercial"). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing's three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial's core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Flight begins with you at Spirit AeroSystems, a place where you can explore your interests and grow your career by working on impactful projects.

A Facilities Project Management Intern:

  • Manages modifications to new buildings, structures, utilities and other systems in support of site operations.
  • Determines customer requirements; develops plans and schedules; obtains construction services; validates progress; and ensures completion, functionality, and customer acceptance.
  • Ensures that facilities modifications, expansions, and construction projects are accomplished within established priorities, scope, schedules, and budgets.
  • Interfaces with company organizations, customers, and suppliers to meet company business requirements.

Also, should you be selected as a 2026 Spirit AeroSystems Summer Intern, you will have exposure to several activities including:

  • Multiple Manufacturing Plant Tours
  • Professional development workshops
  • Project Expo (An opportunity to present an intern project for Executive Leaders)
  • Social/Networking Events

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • You must be a US Person (US Citizen or US Permanent Resident)
  • You must be enrolled full time in a university degree program aligned to the area of internship.
  • You must be a current sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student in good academic standing.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
