MicroHealth is seeking a Navy Qualified Validator to support our contract providing to achieve the acceptable levels of enterprise management and technical support, for the overhaul, repair, and maintenance of the Navy's fleet in the areas of Technical Support, IT Strategies and Client Services, and Cyber Security.

*Clearance: a T5 security clearance based on an initiated Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) in Defense Information System for Security DISS)*

*On-site required*

Location: Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) CIO C109, Portsmouth, VA 23709

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough system/network vulnerability analyses and risk assessments
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies
  • Perform Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) processing
  • Apply Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) using automated tools such as SCAP, Evaluate STIG, STIGMAN, and EMASSter
  • Utilize Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Services (eMASS) and similar RMF repositories
  • Create and maintain A&A Business Rules, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Concept of Operations (CONOPs), and Plans
  • Develop contingency plans and conduct related training and testing
  • Establish and interpret Firewall Policy
  • Interpret and register Ports & Protocols
  • Create and maintain hardware/software documentation, network boundaries, flow diagrams, and technical drawings
  • Interpret information in system baseline configurations in VRAM by uploading vulnerability scans
  • Produce executive documents, reports, project plans, and Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms)
  • Support certification and accreditation of DON information systems, networks, and Platform IT
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in an IT-related discipline
  • Seven (7) years of experience in CS/A&A analysis support, IA controls analysis, conducting risk assessments, risk mitigation analysis, or developing plans
  • Current registration as a Navy Qualified Validator (NQV)
  • Expert knowledge of Cyber Security (CS) / Risk Management Framework (RMF) concepts and requirements (DoDI 8510.01)
  • Experience with OPNAVINST N9210.3 requirements for Safeguarding Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information
  • Expert knowledge of CS/RMF requirements defined by Public Laws, National, DoD, and DON regulations
  • Proficiency with FISMA, DoDD 8100.02, DODI 8500.01, DoDI 8520, DoDI 8530, DoDI 8531, SECNAV 5239 Series, OPNAV 5239 Series, and NIST Special Publications Series 800
  • Expert-level understanding of Accreditation & Authorization (A&A) processes and standards

Physical Demands:
