JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Student Disability Resource office at Penn State Mont Alto is seeking applicants for a part-time Exam Proctor working 15 - 20 hours per week during the academic year.

Job Duties
  • Assist with proctoring exams each academic year for students with various accommodations.
  • Actively be alert and observe students while in the proctoring center.
  • Document time and seat for any potential Academic Integrity Violations.
  • Troubleshoot user issues; answer questions regarding software (ATI, Zoom text) and advise according to SDR Testing Center policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining the SDR Testing Center (Clean).
  • Promote a welcoming environment for a diverse faculty and student clientele.
  • Coordinate the Close exams using Elba.
  • Understand Elba for the purpose of administering exams in the SDR Testing Center; know appropriate settings to print, close or edit exam request and enable exam in the SDR Testing Center.
  • Review exam requests for accuracy and completeness; work closely with faculty or their representative(s) to retrieve and deliver exams.
  • Create Read & Write Readable Exams.
  • Create Exam request.
  • Create address labels for exams.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and internal associates in response to queries
  • Assist with SDR Front Office duties (when needed).
  • Communicate exam proctoring procedures to clients and faculty answering questions about testing center procedures.
  • Verify student identity during check-in.
  • Check, distribute, collect, and dispose of materials allowed for tests.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Knowledge of computers and Office365
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with college level students.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities and varying backgrounds.
  • College level course work.

Compensation: The rate for this job is $15.00 an hour.
