About this role:

Join TechSource the Advanced Sources and Detector (ASD) Project team to support the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of a ~20 MeV linear induction accelerator, known as Scorpius, used in subcritical experiments at the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS). Work closely with multi-lab teams and vendors on advanced electrical engineering for accelerator systems.



  • Act as senior electrical engineer and team lead
  • Provide daily technical guidance and mentorship to engineers
  • Ensure adherence to design engineering procedures and best practices
  • Lead high-level design reviews, testing, and system optimization
  • Master's degreeideal in Engineering + 12 years experience, bachelors required
  • Extensive experience with complex industrial electrical systems and AutoCAD Electrical
  • Proven leadership and mentoring experience in technical teams
  • Deep understanding of NEC, UL, and industrial safety standards
  • Any ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q security clearance


Preferred Qualifications for Both Levels


  • Experience with linear induction accelerators
  • Prior work at NNSA-designated laboratories
  • Familiarity with high-radiation or high-voltage environments
