Job Description

Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA), the consulting arm of Visa, is a global team of industry authorities in strategy, marketing, operations, risk and digital consulting, with decades of experience in the payments industry. Our VCA teams offers:

  • Consulting services customized to the needs of Visa client's business goals and strategy
  • Digital solutions Visa clients can demonstrate to improve performance in product, marketing and operations
  • Data-driven strategies to increase clients' return on investment
  • Implementation services to accelerate time to revenue

The VCA team is looking for a Senior Director to join our consulting practice and play a role in developing high impact projects for Visa's clients in the North America region. The potential candidate will be responsible for driving business development and execution with key issuer processors and partners of Visa. Typical engagements could span across a wide range of projects for our clients e.g. segment or vertical strategies, portfolio optimization, segmentation, product development, program launch, customer acquisition, customer life cycle optimization, retention & improvements.

Essential Functions

  • Partner with key clients and stakeholders to identify opportunities and expand business
  • Drive business development and sales with existing and new clients
  • Ensure high quality execution of projects
  • Proactively engage with Visa internal teams in regular strategic & planning discussions
  • Manage a team of direct reports and model the Visa Leadership Principles in daily interactions
  • Develop frameworks, approaches, solutions and recommendations that successfully and efficiently address the most impactful opportunities and challenges.
  • Build solutions and concrete insights that will help clients to grow their portfolios and customer engagement in their core business
  • Partner with peers in other functional areas (marketing, sales, risk, innovation) and across global regional teams to complete projects in ways that demonstrate the breadth and depth of Visa's resources
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with groups outside of VCA to ensure client delivery incorporates a true, One Visa mentality
  • Produce insights, analyses and recommendations to improve client performance, boost growth, drive understanding of client issues and provide strategic mentorship for client priorities across the verticals and segments
  • Analyze large data sets (industry and Visa) to resolve meanings insights and recommendations for clients
  • Build new scalable solutions, toolkits, standard methodology documents and consulting approach that can be applied across VCA

Applicants should be self-motivated, highly energized, meticulous individuals who will deliver strategic thought leadership, problem diagnostics and high impact solutions to clients support the growth and performance. You are able to develop enduring, strategic relationships with internal and external clients and across the Visa organization.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
  • Relevant experience at a leading management consulting firm, preferably within financial services domain
  • Experience working with Issuer processors and / or acquirers would be nice to have
  • Relevant experience leading small or large teams
  • Strong Analytical/Quantitative Background
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Experience working with financial indicators to measure business performance. Significant focus on impacting ROI
  • Self-motivated, results oriented individual with the ability to handle numerous projects concurrently
  • Knowledge and understanding of payment operations and/ or payment schemes, including products & services, business systems and processes, marketing initiatives and card issuing experience
  • Excellent communication, story-telling and presentation skills
  • Technology mindset, curious, up-to-date with digital trends and applications
Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $170,000 to $312,000 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
