Location Type: On-Site Position Overview The Asset Manager is responsible for overseeing the management and accountability of government and company-owned property in accordance with applicable regulations, contractual obligations, and internal policies. This role ensures accurate property records in IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS 8), supports lifecycle tracking, and supports internal audits, compliance reporting, and cross-functional coordination with logistics, supply chain, and program management teams. Key Responsibilities Property Management Oversight
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all property-related matters across assigned programs or sites
- Ensure accurate tagging, classification, and recordkeeping of all accountable property in MAS 8
- Maintain property records for both Government-Furnished Property (GFP) and Contractor-Acquired Property (CAP)
- Provides update recommendations to APPC and chairs regular meetings with AAS Property Administrator to adjudicate dispositions, deliveries and additions to Appendix C
- Processes all disposition activity to include coordinating turn-ins and executing Transfer Requisitions
- Ensure Property Loss Cases are properly investigated and works with Lead Logistician to implement Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Internal Corrective Action Plans (iCAP)
Regulatory Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with FAR 52.245-1, DFARS Requirements, and company property control procedures
- Support government audits, internal assessments, and corrective action plans
- Generate required reports including physical inventory results, loss/damage/theft notifications, and transfer documentation
Physical Inventory & Audits
- Lead periodic physical inventories and reconcile discrepancies
- Coordinate site walkthroughs, validations, and barcode scanning activities
- Oversee timely processing of property movement, excess, or disposal actions
Data Management & Systems Integration
- Maintain property data in MAS 8 and ensure integrity between related systems (e.g., ARAS, SAP)
- Ensure accurate property lifecycle data including acquisition, issue, turn-in, and disposal
Team Leadership & Support
- Provide guidance and training to junior property administrators and custodians
- Responsible to ensure all logistics-related training material is maintained and up-to-date
- Support cross-functional efforts involving logistics, warehousing, maintenance, and finance
- Represent property management in program meetings and government reviews
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in property or asset management, preferably supporting government contracts
- Working knowledge of FAR 52.245-1 and property management lifecycle processes
- Proficiency in IBM MAS 8 or similar asset/property management systems
- Experience conducting inventories, audits, and supporting corrective actions
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and compliance mindset
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, logistics, or related field
- Certification in property management (e.g., NPMA CPPM)
- Experience with ARAS, SAP, or other enterprise systems
- Experience in defense or government contracting environments
Other Requirements:
- Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) through the National Agency Check and Inquiries (NACI) process
