TITLE: Supervisor, DC Power


LOCATION: Abilene, TX

POSITION SUMMMARY: The DC Power Supervisor provides day-to-day leadership of the DC Power team. The Supervisor ensures the safety and competency of the team to provide the highest levels of installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mission critical power. The Supervisor ensures smooth and efficient delivery of critical facility services by leading, training, and assuring adequate job planning. Supervisors are the primary safety and competency leaders for our teams and drive our company culture.

  • Provide effective oversight, leadership and administration of safety processes and procedures.
  • Travel to customer sites to manage the DC Power installations, replacements, and maintenances activities.
  • Participate in the troubleshooting and ensure the resolution of any DC Power issues related to the line of business.
  • Confirm the arrival of materials necessary for the project installations. Communicate frequently with the Project / Contract manager regarding any issues related to materials, equipment, or delays associated to the projects.
  • Responsible for planning and maintaining work systems, procedures, and policies that enable and encourage the optimum performance of CPG Technicians.
  • Responsible for inter-team logistical and labor coordination as necessary for the DC Power team.
  • Maintains a high quality of service by enforcing quality and customer service standards; analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems; identifying trends; recommending system improvements.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
  • Accomplishes staff management by communicating job expectations.
  • Delegate tasks and set deadlines.
  • Perform site walks and estimating of potential new work.
  • Review and approve weekly timesheets for your team.
  • Be familiar with all applicable Federal, State, and local rules, codes, and regulations.
  • Other assigned tasks as requested.
  • Jobsite presence (50 to 75 percent of the time)


QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience (Required):



  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to train, influence and motivate team members.
  • Ability to understand and follow electrical one-lines, technical manuals, and procedures.
  • Experience writing pre job briefs, procedures and, technical reports.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Outstanding Customer relations skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions.
  • Must be US citizen.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 30%.


Preferred:



  • Experience bidding and executing DC power work for federal and/or commercial customers.
  • Knowledge and experience using basic Computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
  • Experience in critical facilities including federal facilities, power generation plants and data centers.
  • Project leadership.


Certificates and Licenses:



  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
  • Must be able to pass government background checks, attain and maintain a federal security clearance and gain access to facilities that require proof of vaccination status (i.e. Covid-19 vaccine/booster).


Supervisory Responsibilities:



  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work.

Pay Range: $72,671 - $108,954 per year
