Position Summary:

Responsibilities: Essential Duties



  • Manage resources and competencies required to successfully execute technical projects which include innovative mechanical/packaging engineering, formulation development, analytical sciences, technical writing, physical and analytical chemistry laboratories.
  • Build and lead the pharmaceutical development team by developing the team's technical and behavioral skills required for the efficient implementation of strategic products.
  • Manage Technical requirements and risks both to customer needs as well as compliance with applicable industry standards.
  • Plan and execute a portfolio of development projects and lifecycle management activities.
  • Align with CoE (Center of Excellence) Pharma management and governance boards for project agreement and prioritization and prepare applicable status reports for leadership.
  • Accountable for project goals i.e. compliance with committed product features, time to market, quality goals and cost/budget targets.
  • Partner with operations, marketing, and quality functions to transfer Pharma products into robust downstream commercial scale processes.
  • Plan functional (R&D cost center) and project budgets; ensure budget adherence.
  • Plan, implement, and maintain office and laboratory infrastructure.

  • Requires breadth of professional field and industry knowledge. Ability to integrate critical information and champion advanced strategies/concepts through the organization. Drives development of advanced principles and processes.
    Deep understanding of product lifecycle management processes and quality management systems for R&D.
    Experience in international, multi-site project work.
  • Directs the activities of a broad functional area through division heads who are responsible for planning, budgeting, costs, methods and employees. Determines actual organizational structure and allocation of resources.
  • Judgement is required in resolving complex problems based on experience.
  • Represents the organization as a prime contact on projects and departmental operations. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on issues often requiring coordination across organizational lines.



Pay Rage- $235,432 - $336,332

Expertise: Qualifications -Education/Experience/Training/Etc

Required:



  • Technical/Scientific/Engineering related Master's degree required. Technical PhD preferred
  • 15 years' experience in the development of drug packaging and chemistry with 5+ years leadership / management experience.
  • Applicable industry/professional certification preferred.
  • Occasional International business travel required, Valid driver's license and passport, Ability to work non-standard schedule as needed.
