Our client is an industry leader in the low voltage and security industry seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to support the Fairfax/Alexandria, VA region on a long term W-2 contract. This client is looking to interview and hire ASAP! Job Description: The technician will be handling service tickets for commercial accounts focused on their security systems, alarms, cameras, etc. The technician will be able to look at the jobs through the mobile app to see when and where the technician will need to be and what the job entails. The technician will reach out to the customer when they are enroute to every job. If for any reason the tech is running late, they will need to notify management. All the inventory will be sent to the technician's house and need to make sure they are great with inventory management. * Ability to troubleshoot technical problems. * Replace system components as assigned; panels, peripheral devices, audible/visual alarms, etc. * Diagnose causes of problems or failures in systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and systems repair * Maintain safety practices to prevent against injury and damage to property. * Maintain a clean and organized workspace / job site, ensuring customers satisfaction after the interaction. Requirements * 3+ years of either installation or service of residential/commercial security systems, CCTV, and access controls * Reliable transportation and vehicle to use each day * Driver's and other required onboarding compliance * Basic tools and equipment Additional Information: * 12 Month W-2 Contract with possibility of extension or conversion to full hire * Need to be local to the area and able to commute to multiple sites per day * Salary based upon previous relevant experience Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.
