* Job Description* TEKsystems is hiring a Lead Travel Technician based in Nashville to lead installations on commercial projects nationwide. This expert-level role involves structured cabling, conduit work, and the deployment of complex low-voltage systems like fire alarms and security setups. The lead will manage a small team (1-3 techs) and is expected to drive high-quality installs with minimal oversight. Lots of overtime available. * Responsibilities* * Install, terminate, and test Cat6, fiber, coax, and telecom cabling * Design and build cable pathways based on blueprints and code * Mount and configure access points, cameras, fire panels, strobes, etc. * Build out server racks and structured IDF/telecom rooms * Follow NEX codes and comply with low-voltage standards * Lead field technicians and ensure install success across sites * Validate and test all systems prior to sign-off * Tools & Gear* * Must bring personal hand tools, cordless drills, and punchdown gear * TEKsystems provides consumables, access training, and site support * Top Skills* * Cat6/Cat5 cabling * Security and alarm installation * Troubleshooting and deployment * Leadership in install environments * Structured cabling across commercial facilities * Additional Qualifications* * Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-driven * Able to stay on task and adapt to site challenges * Analytical thinker with strong initiative * Desire to transition to full-time after contract * Experience Level* Expert Level - ideal for seasoned leads ready to travel and take charge of technical installs. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
