- Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs for milling and turning centers.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and models to define manufacturing processes.
- Set up and operate CNC machines to prove out and validate programs.
- Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet tight aerospace tolerances.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to continuously improve part quality, cycle time, and process efficiency.
- Maintain detailed documentation of setups, tool lists, and programming changes.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments to optimize performance.
- Actively participate in lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
- Follow prescribed safety regulations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company policies.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of CNC programming and 4 years' hands-on machining experience.
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (Mastercam).
- Strong knowledge of G-code and CNC machine tool operation (mills and lathes).
- Experience with aerospace or high-precision components preferred.
- Must be able to read and understand English (in writing and verbally).
- To conform with US export regulations and ITAR 120.15 and EAR Part 772, incumbents for this role must be eligible for any required authorizations from the US government.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
- Familiarity with inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and CMMs.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to use advanced shop math and work with a wide variety of hand-held measuring tools.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, aligned with HarcoSemco's high-performance culture.
Physical Demands:
- Position requires sitting or standing, reaching, and moving about the plant.
- Must be able to lift up to 40lb, unaided.
- Position requires constant use of hands, including grasping, twisting, holding, gripping, or manipulating tools and equipment.
- Employees may be subject to random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations.
Work Environment:
- Work performed in a manufacturing environment.
- Exposed to any number of elements but with none present to the extent of being disagreeable.
- May work at different workstations as production needs require, or shifts from one station to another, during the assembly process.
This position requires either a U.S. Person (as defined in applicable export regulations) or a non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain the required export authorization.
