Are you ready to lead a team and make a meaningful impact in materials management? In this role, you will oversee daily operations related to inventory, shipping, receiving, and compliance. You'll collaborate across departments to ensure smooth workflows and adherence to safety and quality standards. This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Accountable for supervised a staff of 6-10 direct reports for inbound receiving, inspection, raw material sampling, inventory management, weigh & dispense, kitting, distribution, drug substance freeze-down/ put-away, storage, and outbound shipping operations

  • Responsible for warehouse personnel training and implementation of GPS principles including Continuous Improvement projects, visual controls and metrics. Key expectation for this First Line Leader (FLL) role is to spend 70% of the time on the field, focused on people leadership, performance management, and real time problem solving through GEMBA and process confirmations

  • Evaluate resource requirements and provide resources as required in order to meet operational goals

  • Assess daily shift needs and deploy staff accordingly

  • Ensure a high level of compliance with cGMP and other regulatory requirements such as validation and BLA commitments

  • Follow and update warehouse schedule as required

  • Collaborate on department, site and corporate teams and initiatives

  • Draft, review and approve warehouse procedures and SOPs

  • Review documentation and submit to quality departments

  • Review and approve deviations and corrective actions

  • Prepare and execute staff development plans

  • Assess staff performance, write and administer performance evaluations

  • Ensure a safe work environment is maintained at all times. Position may require employees to work shifts, holidays, and weekends

  • Organize and monitor production efficiency through key performance indicators.

  • Ensure operations are performed in efficient manner (safe receipt, timely dispatch). Take precautions to secure warehouse storage and operations against loss. Organize special requirements for specific stocks (chemicals, dangerous goods, fragile products)

Why you? Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • 3+ years of experience in logistics, management, production, materials and inventory control and second-line leadership experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry

  • Previous experience supervising GMP functions

  • Previous experience with inventory management programs such as SAP

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record

  • Physical requirements including stooping, standing, climbing and frequent lifting up to 50lbs

  • Material handling experience including forklift training

  • Strong computer literacy; Excel, Word, Warehouse inventory systems

  • Strong reading, writing and communication skills

  • Inventory control functions and training are conducted with web or data-based systems

  • Experience communicating to all levels of the organization - to effectively communicate assignment status and manufacturing issues orally and written

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Solid team player ablet to function within team-based organizations.

  • Experience with change control management, Deviation and CAPA execution

  • Experience with writing risk assessments associated with operations with safety and quality impact

  • Proven leadership experience in managing teams and operations.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.

  • Knowledge of cold chain logistics and hazardous material handling.

  • APICS certification (CSCP or CPIM) is a plus.

The annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $66,330 to $110,550 taking into account a number of factors including work location within the US market, the candidate's skills, experience, education level and the market rate for the role. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program which is dependent on the level of the role. Available benefits include health care and other insurance benefits (for employee and family), retirement benefits, paid holidays, vacation, and paid caregiver/parental and medical leave.
