Summary:

The Senior Manager, Commercial and Trade Analytics plays a critical role in driving data-informed decision-making across Pacira's commercial organization. This role is responsible for monitoring business developments and market trends, maintaining and enhancing analytical tools, dashboards, and reporting systems, and delivering insights that support strategic planning and operational execution. Key responsibilities include the creation and refinement of business presentations, performance analyses, and ad-hoc reporting to guide leadership decisions. Additionally, this role oversees commercial data infrastructure and data management processes, ensuring data integrity and scalability. Operating within the commercial strategy hub, the Senior Manager partners cross-functionally with Finance, Market Access, Operations, and Commercial teams to support the development and tracking of short-term forecasts across Pacira's marketed and pipeline products.


Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by an individual assigned to this job. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Lead the development, maintenance, and enhancement of national and sub-national reporting tools, including dashboards, monthly flash reports, and ELT presentations, to support business performance tracking and strategic decision-making.
  • Manage the integration and quality control of commercial data infrastructure, including data warehouses, analytical applications, and reporting cubes, in collaboration with IT, Trade, and Sales Operations.
  • Oversee the processing and automation of secondary data feeds from industry sources (e.g., IQVIA, Premier, Truven, Definitive Healthcare) and internal systems (e.g., call files, sales data) to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Oversee third party providers ensuring accuracy of data sets derived from externally managed tools leveraged for financial reporting and internal reconciliations
  • Oversight of all transaction report, ensuring accurate reporting of demand sales and contract pricing
  • Design and deliver ad-hoc analyses and custom assessments to address evolving business questions, leveraging multiple data sources to generate actionable insights.
  • Partner with Sales Operations, IT, and CRM stakeholders to collect and analyze field performance data, supporting territory-level insights and strategic planning.
  • Independently develop and refine business presentations and performance summaries, clearly communicating key findings, trends, and recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Maintain a master calendar of key deliverables, ensuring timely execution of recurring reports and forecast updates, including coordination of review and approval processes.
  • Continuously improve and document reporting processes, identifying opportunities for automation, standardization, and scalability.
  • Provide expert-level training and support to Commercial and cross-functional teams on the use of business intelligence tools and data interpretation best practices.
  • Monitor market trends and business developments to proactively identify opportunities and risks, contributing to short-term forecasting and strategic planning for Pacira's marketed and pipeline products.
  • Prepares the monthly and quarterly external reports to GPO's and other relevant contracts to business partners to ensure compliance with contract driven reporting and collaborate with the Finance team to ensure timely processing of payments
  • Provide financial support deliverables, including admin fee calculations, rebate forecast and performance tracking, and validation of trading partners channel inventory ensuring strict alignment with the financial close deadline

Interaction:

Collaborates closely with stakeholders across Finance, Market Access, Operations, and Commercial teams to align on data strategy, performance insights, and forecasting needs. This role serves as a key partner in cross-functional initiatives, facilitating communication between analytics, business leadership, and technical teams to ensure data-driven decision-making and operational alignment.

  • Demonstrated expertise in a range of analytical techniques, with the ability to work with complex data sets, formulate analysis plans, and solve critical business questions.

  • Deep understanding of data management principles and best practices, including proficiency with secondary data sources relevant to the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven excellence in project management, including managing multiple priorities, deadlines, budgets, and actual spend against budget in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with a demonstrated ability to partner effectively across departments on interdepartmental initiatives.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with MS Access or other database platforms is a plus.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to present complex data and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel as needed to support business objectives and cross-functional initiatives.

Pay Transparency

The base pay range for this role is $132,000 per year to $181,000 per year. The range is what we reasonably expect to pay for this role. The range considers a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: geographic markets, business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience, training, licensure, and certifications.
