Job Description
CSI Aerospace Inc, a subsidiary of HEICO Corporation, a NYSE-traded company (NYSE: HEI) is seeking a Production Supervisor. The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising Team Members, meeting production schedules and maintaining quality for the assigned areas per CSI requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Identify, develop and implement weekly forecasts to meet production, quality and safety objectives.
- Coordinate cross functionally with site departments to bridge communication between upper management and their team, relay important information, communicating policy or procedural changes.
- Monitors and adjusts workflow schedule to respond to internal production requirements including on-time delivery, cost of poor quality and process improvements. Balancing workloads while addressing any changes or requests from team members.
- Responsible for enforcing company policies of conduct and safety while initiating disciplinary action when necessary.
- Responsible for the overall talent management of the production team including interviewing, hiring, staffing levels, and ongoing training of Team Members; planning, assigning work, and directing daily work priorities; appraising annual performance reviews; setting goal objective with emphasis of a rewarding culture; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Manage team attendance and performance issues through problem identification and successful mediation of disputes.
- Perform continuous process improvement activities aimed at improving safety, efficiency, quality and costs with measurable results.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Requirements
Education:
Associates degree in Business or equivalent experience.
Work Experience:
- At least 2 years previous supervisory experience with direct reports in a production environment required.
- Experience working in a general operational facility with basic working knowledge of soldering, blending, machining and assembly of detailed electrical components.
- Familiar with FAA regulations that relate to a Part 145 Repair Station preferred
- Strong time management skills with ability to multitask.
Specialized Knowledge or Abilities:
- Language: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before employees of organization.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Mathematical Skills: Basic shop math skills
- Reasoning Abilities: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, strict attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and prioritize as necessary.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear; and required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
