We're looking to hire a talented Distribution Sales Manager based in Mid-Atlantic Region.

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Distribution Sales Manager is responsible for have responsibility for driving sales growth of the company's products with distribution partners in the assigned territory. You will have the opportunity to represent leading brands including ESAB, Victor, Tweco, Thermal Dynamics, AlcoTec, and Stoody. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving sales growth to and through independent distributors with experience in industrial and fabrication markets.

Primary Duties

  • Own multiple distributor relationships in the assigned region, including, but not limited to regular and on demand product requests
  • Facilitate timely resolutions to distributor inquiries and overall distributor fulfillment
  • Drive National Account Strategies & initiatives including merchandising initiatives and in store display and pop appearance and gain competitive floor space.
  • Build growth plans with key independent distributors in the assigned region.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with targeted distributors.
  • Execute targeted stocking programs with assigned distributors.
  • Drive engagement with rebate programs.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA Degree in Business or relevant technical field 5+ years of experience with Retailer or Distributor sales experience, with fabrication industry or related experience preferred.
  • Strong time management skills such as Territory Management and T&E prioritization through the 80/20 sales process.
  • Ability to offer product training initiatives to distributors.
  • Demonstrate strong relationship building skills to foster new and existing relationships across the distributor's organization based upon ESAB's product offerings.
  • Ability to identify share gain opportunities within distribution.
  • Ability to work effectively across the Functional Departments by demonstrating clear and concise communication and collaboration.
  • Ability to drive in store relationships with branch management, counter sales and store staff.
  • Proficiency with Growth bridge, QBR, Dynamics, BI, Counter Measure strategies.
  • Ability to leverage rebates, marketing funds, Promotions, Purchase Orders and Inventory store audits.
  • Able to develop and execute sound sales strategy to maximize our opportunities.
  • Have a customer-focused mindset and have a structured efficient approach to responding to customer needs.
  • Demonstrate an aptitude for building and maintaining trusted relationships with customers and teams within a matrix environment.
  • Show excellent written, verbal and presentation skills including communicating complex technical content to a range of audiences.
  • Enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver successful technical customer projects.
  • Show good, general technical knowledge of our products and services, alongside customer needs and requirements.
  • Experience with using MS Dynamics or related CRM Software.

Working Conditions

  • Remains in a stationary position 50% of the time and involves additional physical demands such as ascending/descending stairs, walking stooping and standing.
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment 'PPE' when working/visiting manufacturing and plant locations.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery including but not limited to printer, tablets, cell phones.
  • Moves transports, puts, or removes equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.; pushes, pulls products weighing up to 200 lbs. using provided safety tools.
  • May be exposed to varying weather during travel.
  • Domestic travel required approximately 60%.
