About The Role

Position primarily provides support to loan departments by performing duties related to credit and asset based lending. Conducts preliminary credit analysis by reviewing tax returns, financial statements, and other documentation; conducts follow-up; and assists other departments as needed and/or assigned.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform credit/financial analysis as assigned by the loan department
  • Accurately and promptly perform analysis of financial statements and tax return with written narratives
  • Work with loan teams to monitor and follow up on files to assure financial information is being requested annually
  • Maintain and monitor all loans with borrowing base certificates. Ensure accurate calculations with recommendations to loan officers for action
  • Assist the loan department in managing the technical exception reporting and correction process. Prepare and maintain a technical exception log for critical and technical exceptions
  • Stay current on loan programs and lending (federal and state) regulations as well as all compliance and bank policies and procedures. Participate in the preparation and presentation of training sessions
  • Assist Department Manager with various assigned tasks such as research requests for loan reviews, non-accrual/charge off entries, recommendation and implementation of new department procedures/practices, and acting as a backup for various general duties
  • Provide various additional knowledge and support to all loan departments as needed
  • Assist lending teams with outside calls, collateral inspections/valuations
  • Assist loan officers by pulling credit reports, UCC lien search, Vehicle Lien Search & floods
  • Secondary Market loans-balance purchase advices, balance REM Fees Account, pay bills, order appraisals, title commitments, UPS Shipping and monthly report
  • Follow up on vehicle titles
  • Insurance monitoring and AM Best Ratings
  • Follow up on deeds of trusts and title policies
  • Prepare correspondence to loan customers requesting financial information, Credit Authorizations, Inspections, Floor Plans as directed by loan officers
  • Credit Review and file documents
  • Monthly and quarterly reports for GBCI and Board of Directors
  • Accurately set up all loan files within two days of receiving application from underwriter
  • Process all applicable loans with necessary documents in order in a timely manner and prepare so they are ready to close within the timeframe allotted by everyone involved
  • Prepare and review closing documents and assure they are complete, accurate and ready for the title company the day prior to the loan closing
  • Follow-up on all items for closed loans such as insurance, liens, etc.
  • Keep loan officers informed of the status of loans
  • Other duties as assigned

About You

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College degree in Ag or Finance preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:

  • Must have the ability to work in a professional and confidential manner
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Possess a high degree of investigative, analytical skills - be detail orientated
  • Basic computer skills with working knowledge or word processing, spreadsheets, ten-key, and general computer applications
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to positively promote our organization to customers and co-workers

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level.

Must be capable of occasional travel (less than 10 days per year) by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities.

Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Starting salary is dependent upon relevant experience and may vary based on the geographic location of the position.
