We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position ofProducer Services Representative within ourOMSD (Occidental Midstream Strategic Department) group based in Houston, TX.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate movement of production in the Gulf of America, Permian Basin, Denver Jules Basin & Powder River Basins from Oxy upstream entities and working interest partners to midstream gathering and processing counterparties
  • Timely and accurately report on daily product (Gas, NGL, Oil) movements on third party gathering systems up to the point of transfer where the Occidental Energy Marketing Inc ("OEMI") takes title of product for further downstream movements
  • Provide upstream, midstream, and OEMI timely notice of any changes to planned or unplanned operational developments and the projected timeframe for such curtailment including daily volume changes thereto
  • Work with the field operations teams to align set-point changes for physical deliveries and nominations of products on third party systems
  • Monitor wellhead availabilities and imbalances with working interest owners
  • Monitor and adjust daily nominations to reduce impact of monthly imbalances. Review gathering and processing invoices to confirm contractual alignment and verify pricing for cash outs
  • Manage communications proactively for changes to drilling schedules and impact to volumes
  • Responsibilities will require after hours support for the coordination, nomination, and scheduling of Oxy production. Individuals will be required to be On Call 24 hours per day for a minimum of two weekends per month which will include holidays. All personnel will be cross trained to support multiple domestic regions
  • Establish and maintain industry contacts with 3rd party gatherers, working interest operators, and others as required
  • Maintain adequate daily and monthly records, inclusive of operational events; force majeure, etc. to maintain production tracking and monitoring to minimize Operational Balancing Agreement/plant/pipeline imbalances for an audit trail
  • Work closely with revenue accounting to resolve any rate or volume discrepancies

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written). Ability to debate and negotiate terms with third parties.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with an ability to coordinate and prioritize numerous initiatives with competing priorities.
  • Highly effective and customer-oriented: works well in a team environment.
  • Team player who takes an active role in group responsibilities, is flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Ability to complete tasks within specified timelines and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Responsible and able to handle confidential information with professionalism.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering or related field required
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Motivated to improve and streamline work processes and outputs
  • Ability to make quick, strategic decisions about product flows based on understanding of pipeline system operations and oil and gas marketing processes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment
  • Ability to understand market conditions and product flow alternatives
  • Ability to work hours as needed, including weekends and holidays
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel

Additional Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience scheduling products or marketing functions and processes
  • Experience with midstream operations processes and personnel
  • Experience with data reporting and automation tools such as PowerBI, Spotfire, PowerApps, or Power Automate
