As the Head of Compliance for Market Area Americas, you will have overall responsibility to lead a team of compliance officers in a dynamic and exciting region. You will be serving a diverse set of business and organizational units across the region and partnering with business stakeholders to implement Ericsson's Ethics and Compliance program and drive accountability for compliance throughout the business.
Ericsson's Compliance Office, under the leadership of the Chief Compliance Officer and Head of Investigations, has responsibility for all components of Ericsson's Ethics and Compliance Program. The program covers compliance with our Code of Business Ethics and subject matters including anti-fraud, anti-bribery and corruption, anti-terrorism, and identification of emerging risks. You will also be called to support on matters in other teams addressing sanctions and export controls, antitrust, human rights, and anti-money laundering. As Head of Compliance for the Market Area, you will be responsible for driving an integrity-led culture across the region and implementing key Ethics & Compliance policies and procedures. You will report to the Chief Compliance Officer & Head of Investigations, and you will collaborate with other compliance and legal colleagues on matters such as training and communication initiatives, risk assessments, third party due diligence and monitoring, and implementing remediation arising out of investigations. You will prepare analyses and report to stakeholders, including senior managers, about the effectiveness of the ethics & compliance program.
In this exciting role, you will lead and ensure the development of a diverse team of Compliance Officers, setting expectations and managing performance. You will guide them in partnering with business stakeholders to make sound judgments, implementing the compliance program and supporting effective risk management throughout the company.
The role is hybrid with an "office first" approach (in office approximately 60%) and is located in Plano, Texas.
In this role you will be expected to:
- Lead and manage all aspects of the region's Ethics & Compliance program.
- Act as a solution-oriented trusted advisor, actively supporting your business stakeholders in proactively managing compliance risks, providing expert advice and practical problem-solving.
- Drive a robust culture of Ethics & Compliance and a sense of shared responsibility for compliance across the organization.
- Lead the Market Area's governance activities, managing relevant committees and boards such as the Market Area Compliance Committee, the Remediation Committee, and the Business Partner Review Board, while contributing to the activities of the Group Business Risk Committee.
- Oversee, together with colleagues in Compliance and in other group functions, the engagement and monitoring of third parties.
- Lead training, with the support of other Compliance colleagues, of stakeholders on compliance topics.
- Assess and manage actual or potential conflicts of interest, expenditure risks (including gifts, entertainment and hospitality) and engagements with public officials.
- Lead remediation resulting from investigations or other consequence management processes across the Market Area, whether relating to personnel, third parties or process matters.
- Collaborate with colleagues in other assurance functions to assist in risk identification and mitigation in the Market Area.
- Provide input into improvements into Compliance Office programs and initiatives.
- Gather and analyze ethics and compliance-related data to continuously enhance the implementation of the program in the Market Area while ensuring any gaps in risk management practices are swiftly addressed.
- Identify opportunities for use of Artificial Intelligence in the compliance program and promote its responsible use
- Manage an assigned budget
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Strong ethics & compliance credentials, including at least 10 years of experience in an ethics & compliance leadership role in a multinational organization.
- A legal degree is strongly preferred
- Experience operating in the region, including in high risk markets
- Proven track record of successfully partnering and collaborating with senior business, commercial and functional leaders to successfully identify and manage risks for the organization
- Experience in a matrixed organization and collaborating with different stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes
- An ability to simplify complex topics and communicate expectations and articulate risks clearly and concisely to stakeholders
- An ability to take ownership for complex problems and projects and drive those to successful completion
- Experience in managing and developing a large and diverse team, with members spread across several locations
- Impeccable judgement, maturity, and discretion, including a demonstrated ability to engage in difficult conversations and constructive dialogue with senior stakeholders to address complex and sensitive issues
- A positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
- Working proficiency in languages relevant to the Market Area preferred
- Ability to work across time zones
- Ability to travel internationally

Your Pay
The salary range for this position is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit's objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Your Financial Security
We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. The Ericsson US 401(k) Plan offers an automatic 3% company contribution and Ericsson matches $1 for every $1 you put into the 401(k) Plan on the first 3% of your eligible pay, plus 50 cents on every $1 on the next 2% of eligible pay. When you contribute at least 5% of eligible pay, you are receiving Ericsson's full matching contributions. Matching and company automatic contributions stop when your total eligible pay for the year reaches the IRS limits. Employees will also receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage, as well as short-term and long-term disability coverage. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson's Stock Purchase Plan.
Your Time
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 15 days of accrued vacation, up to 3 personal days per year, 11 annual holidays, 8 hours of volunteer time, and 80 hours of sick time annually. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee's start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
