The American Hospital Association (AHA) is a national organization that represents and serves all types of hospitals, health care networks, and their patients and communities. The AHA has two main offices, located in Washington, D.C. and Chicago. We are currently seeking a Member Engagement Coordinator or our Chicago office. This position is a hybrid role (three days in the office, two days working remote).

Starting base salary = $52,000- $65,000- $78,000 (commensurate with related experience). The AHA is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. A candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and location.

The Coordinator, Member Engagement is responsible for providing support across different regions and member-led groups as part of a team-based support model. Assigned to specific region(s) and/or member-led groups, work closely with egional executives assigned to same region and/or member-led groups as one of the primary points of contact. Schedule, track and document various types of member calls, assist with the logistics for member-facing in-person and virtual meetings and educational events, and enter data into AHA association management system (AMS). Work as part of a team to provide capacity and flexibility across the Field Engagement team.

Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:



  • Provide a high level of relationship management to internal and external contacts, including AHA members and their executive assistants, AHA executive management, allied executives. Provides support for responding to member and AHA colleague requests quickly and effectively via email, phone or Teams.
  • Track requests, schedule calls or meetings in an efficient and timely fashion and provide regular status updates.
  • Enter data efficiently and accurately and maintain member and executive assistant contact data and interactions related to engagement activities in AMS.
  • Run and distribute basic reports from AMS.
  • Coordinate logistical aspects of planning and scheduling of various member-facing activities including on-site meetings, conference calls, webinars, and special events. Support the preparation and distribution of member-led activities such as the agenda and briefing documents.
  • Provide administrative and/or production support for virtual member meetings or educational events.
  • Compose general correspondence and special reports from written notes and oral instructions.
  • Provide support using e-platforms such as Marketo and Salesforce.
  • Provide support in drafting and finalizing of documentation of new processes.

Education
Bachelors of Business Administration (preferred)
Experience
3 years: Customer service, administration, and event support (required)
