Why You'll Love Working Here Competitive pay rates Shift premiums for 2nd and 3rd shifts Annual performance bonus (target: 5%) Tuition reimbursement for degree programs Medical insurance with Rx coverage and HSA Dental and vision insurance 401K with generous employer match Paid Time Off: 80 hours in your first full year 11 paid holidays annually Company-paid life insurance and short-term disability Supplemental life and long-term disability coverage Employee Assistance & Wellness Programs Employee discount program Company-paid safety footwear and prescription eyewear Position Details Shift: 1st shift only (5 AM - 3 PM) Job Type: Direct Hire Location: Bedford, Pennsylvania What You'll Be Doing Wipe, sand, and inspect parts prior to painting Plug and mask parts for paint prep, ensuring proper adhesion Blow out excess water and shot from part cavities Hang parts using an overhead hoist Prep painted parts for repair as needed Maintain a clean and safe workspace aligned with company standards Perform quality checks and validate components meet production standards Assist in root-cause efforts and corrective action processes Track and manage materials and supplies as necessary Preferred Qualifications Forklift certification Tugger certification Tractor certification Valid driver's license Core Competencies Ability to follow detailed work instructions and safety guidelines Basic reading, writing, and comprehension of memos, procedures, and safety protocols Routine decision-making with minimal complexity Comfortable with physical tasks including lifting, standing, and operating tools/equipment Strong communication and teamwork skills Working Conditions Physical: Frequent standing, walking, visual inspection, manual handling up to 35 lbs Environmental: Exposure to dust, temperature fluctuations, loud noises, and some chemicals Schedule: Standard 1st shift hours; occasional overtime or weekend needs Stress Level: Moderate, with intermittent periods of higher workloads or deadlines About STS Technical Services STS Technical Services is a Top 100 Staffing Firm that partners with some of the largest names in aviation, manufacturing, defense, and industrial operations.
