Scheduled Hours/Days: Varies up to 4 hours/day if riding on AM and PM route - Split Shift

Qualifications: At least two years of college credits (usually 60 credits in Minnesota) through an accredited institution of higher education; or an Associate or higher degree; OR a passing score on the MN Para Pro assessment demonstrating the knowledge and ability to assist with instruction in reading/language arts, writing, mathematics, or readiness for each.

Pay Rate/Range: $21.86/hr. - $23.51/hr.

Compensation/Benefits/Perks: An employee earns one hour of sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked and can earn a maximum of 48 hours each year.

Deadline: Open Until Filled -- EOE (8/4/2025) Employment is contingent upon completion of a background check and a required pre-work screening.

Job Summary:
Under the direction of Special Services.

Responsibilities:
• The Educational Assistant (PCA) for school bus transportation is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of students, with particular emphasis on behavioral management and health support.
• This includes actively observing, monitoring, and redirecting student behavior to maintain a safe and orderly environment, reinforcing appropriate conduct, and enforcing district discipline policies.
• The PCA also plays a critical role in implementing individualized behavior intervention plans as outlined in student IEPs.
• Furthermore, the PCA provides essential assistance and support for students' health-related functions, which may involve hands-on assistance, supervision, or cuing, under the direct guidance of a licensed School Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, or other designated healthcare professional.
