What You Will Be Doing:
As the Public Relations and Communications Manager, you will be responsible for executing a communications and public relations program that reflects the firm's initiatives and supports business goals. This includes advancing the firm's reputation and brand through website marketing strategies, oversee blogs and all associated content, the firm's awards and surveys program, leveraging social media and other tools to effectively promote firm content; and help manage the internal communications and public relations team. You will report to the Director, Communications, Marketing and Client Engagement.
Contributes to the Firm's Service Matters initiative to consistently improve its image internally and externally. Displays professionalism, quality service and a "can do" attitude to internal members/departments of the Firm as well as external clients and vendors via electronic and print correspondence, over the telephone and in-person.
About This Role:
A self-motivated individual of integrity who respects the confidentiality and sensitivity of the firm's work. Collaborates closely with marketing and business development leads to ensure news and feature stories are current and appealing to target markets.
Oversees and produces, from concept to completion, a broad array of digital and/or print promotional and communication materials. Ensures all materials present a clear, unified, and positive image for the firm and/or brand.
Identifies opportunities for promotion of firm and lawyer news for internal and external utilization. Creates meaningful communications programs that engage and inspire all levels of employees and is grounded in diversity, equity and inclusion.
Supervises the firm's responses to editorial-based surveys and awards.
Successfully performs multiple tasks simultaneously as well as short cycle and long cycle projects, with strong attention to detail, while working alongside team members in a fast-paced, demanding team environment.
Works closely across teams in the department. Contributes to managing the selected external agencies and consultants.
Displays professionalism, service-oriented, "can do" attitude to the firm's lawyers and support services members, and the firm's clients and vendors.

- Proven ability to identify and create proactive media opportunities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism. Willingness to work on other marketing projects, as needed.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Precise attention to detail, with extraordinary organizational skills and the ability to work effectively under multiple supervisors.
- Excellent business writing skills, including knowledge of business English, vocabulary, punctuation, grammar, and spelling.
- Working knowledge of work practices, policies, and procedures as they relate to function and operations.
- Flexibility and ability to travel to other firm locations when necessary.

Required Experience
-
Education:
- Bachelor's degree required.
Experience:
7 to 10 years of communications, public relations, marketing or journalism experience.
Law Firm or Professional Services experience strongly preferred.
- Previous experience successfully managing direct reports preferred.
