The Team:

The Fisher-Price Photo Studio creates and manages the production of visual assets used for product packaging, vendor e-commerce sites, advertising, internal shows, social media, and other applications that support the Fisher-Price brand. We serve as the internal creative agency for Fisher-Price and our clients include Marketing, the Global Brand Team, Brand Operations, as well as other departments. This is a dynamic group that values creativity, out of the box thinking, and innovation.

The Opportunity:

Mattel is currently seeking a Photographer to join the team in East Aurora, NY. The Photographer is responsible for creating compelling content that highlights Fisher-Price products to be used for product packaging, e-commerce, digital, and advertising purposes. The Photographer will work closely with Art Directors, Producers, Stylists, and Wranglers in our high-volume, fast-paced studios. Responsibilities include creating original photography and motion assets while maintaining brand aesthetic, photography and video equipment maintenance, creative concepting, event and campus photography. This role reports to the Associate Manager, Photo Studio.

What Your Impact Will Be:

  • Work with studio staff to photograph products with children for packaging & ecommerce;
  • Workwith creative leads to ensure each project is effectively supporting the brand image;
  • Collaborate with Creative Studios Designers and Production team to ensure sets and talent are in line with the production request;
  • Shoot product demos as needed (Motion);
  • Photography and video equipment maintenance;
  • Participate in department brainstorm sessions and meetings;
  • Assist Lead Photographer on off-site shoots and other large productions;
  • Assistin the set up and tear down of studio equipment and lighting fixtures;
  • Troubleshootbasic production challenges under the direction of senior staff;
  • Support safety initiatives regarding studio workflow and processes.

What We're Looking For:

  • 5-7 years of commercial photography/video experience;
  • Bachelor's degree with a focus in Photography or Visual Arts;
  • Portfolio showcasing original work;
  • Extensive knowledge of studio and natural lighting;
  • Strong familiarity with photography and video equipment;
  • Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills (Photoshop, After Effects, and Premiere);
  • Experience using imaging software such as Capture One and Adobe Lightroom;
  • Creative thinker;
  • Comfortable working with and around children;
  • Self-driven and able to easily communicate creative ideas and collaborate in a team environment;
  • Ability to thrive in a high paced work setting and proven to be a quick problem solver;
  • Post-production experience such as retouching and editing;
  • Demonstrated agrowth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.

The annual base salary range for this position is between $59,000 and $70,000.
