The Director of Academic Operations plays a pivotal role in supporting the academic mission of the institution through high-level coordination and strategic administrative leadership. This position ensures the timely and efficient execution of core academic functions, including curriculum submissions, academic and operational calendar oversight, course scheduling, initiative tracking, and policy implementation.


Working at the intersection of strategy and operations, the Director supports long-range academic planning and decision-making by facilitating organized communication, actionable data reporting, and strong follow-through on institutional priorities. In close collaboration with the Director of Academic Curriculum and Accreditation and stakeholders across departments, this role is central to enhancing process consistency, operational effectiveness, and the advancement of key academic goals.

The Director of Academic Operations oversees the Academic Affairs calendar and ensures key deadlines for curriculum, assessment, accreditation, and strategic planning are met. This role manages communications, meeting logistics, and initiative tracking while supporting performance metrics and strategic goals. Serving as a cross-departmental liaison, the Director coordinates policy rollouts, maintains project portfolios, and supports curriculum submissions, scheduling, and faculty workload processes. Additional responsibilities include data reporting, system implementation, AI integration, research, and support for academic events-all in alignment with institutional policies and priorities.


A bachelor's degree in higher education, business, or a related field is required, with a master's degree preferred. The ideal candidate will have three to five years of progressively responsible experience in higher education or in operational roles within a complex organizational setting.
