Therapy Support Technician

Assists Rehab (PT/OT/SLP) in both inpatient and outpatient patient care as requested by therapists to allow therapists to provide quality care in the most efficient manner. The therapy support tech supports these teams in stocking/ordering equipment, cleaning of equipment, and assisting with many other tasks delineated by daily/weekly/monthly checklists. This position supports Occupational Therapists in providing activities to Swing bed patients.

Accountabilities/Duties:

• Demonstrates knowledge of and behaviors consistent with the Hospital Code of Business Ethics and Corporate Compliance policies and procedures.
• Embrace and demonstrate the Mission, Vision, Values, and Dimensions.
• Assist with transfers and transports of patients.
• Set up patients for treatment.
• Clean tables, change and stock linen between patient treatments.
• Maintains inventory of supplies and ordering equipment
• Ensures all supplies are not expired
• Orient and schedules volunteers
• Coordinates distribution of DME paperwork and restocking of DME closets
• Assist in completion of safety assessments for all areas in collaboration with rehab manager
• Completion of tasks on Therapy Support Tech checklist designated to be done weekly, bimonthly or monthly
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of High School Diploma.
• BLS certification required within 3 months of hire/start date.

Preferred Qualifications:

• One year of previous experience in hospital rehabilitation-based operation.
