We are looking for an Imagery Analyst (Data Annotation Specialist II) to help advance the accuracy and reliability of annotated geospatial datasets. You'll work closely with technical teams to validate annotations and contribute to quality control workflows that support advanced AI/ML models across EO and SAR data sources.

What You'll Do

  • Review, validate, and correct annotations on EO and SAR imagery
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on annotated data
  • Perform object classification and anomaly detection tasks
  • Contribute to annotation guideline improvements
  • Work with tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, and web-based labeling platforms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and partner teams to address annotation inconsistencies
  • Provide feedback to entry-level specialists to improve team output

Minimum Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship and active Secret clearance (with ability to obtain Top Secret)
  • 1-3 years of experience in imagery annotation, GIS, or related field
  • Experience with annotation and validation of EO or SAR imagery
  • Proficiency in geospatial software tools (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS)
  • Strong visual analysis skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting government or defense missions
  • Familiarity with data quality control methods in imagery workflows
  • Experience with SAR-specific feature analysis
  • Basic scripting or automation (e.g., Python, Jupyter) is a plus

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.

* The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $71,000.00 - $117,000.00 annually. * The base pay for this position within New Jersey is: $71,000.00 - $117,000.00 annually. * The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $77,000.00 - $129,000.00 annually. * The base pay for this position within California is: $81,000.00 - $135,000.00 annually.

For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
