Job Description Summary

We are hiring an Assistant Director, CSS Engineering to lead the IT engineering team within the Corporate Systems and Support division. This role is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of IT systems and solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and maintaining compliance with IT policies and regulations. The position plays a critical role in driving operational efficiency and supporting Enterprise's mission through technology.

Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and direction to the CSS Engineering team.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture.
  • Monitor team performance and support professional development.
  • Direct the design, development, and implementation of IT systems.
  • Ensure timely and successful delivery of IT projects.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to align IT strategy with organizational goals.
  • Ensure adherence to IT policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee project planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Act as an escalation point for service delivery issues.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Champion engineering best practices and innovation.
  • Identify opportunities to use technology in new and impactful ways.
  • Lead initiatives that drive efficiency, reduce costs, or increase value.
  • Work with vendors to renew application contracts.
  • Partner with Demand Management and Enterprise Architecture to identify solutions for our business partners.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in IT engineering.
  • 3+ years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Experience with ITIL and project management methodologies.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset.
  • Deep understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, and service delivery.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards and audit processes.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
Additional Preferred Skills/Experience:
  • Experience working in a mission-driven organization.
  • Familiarity with issues in community development, housing policy, or IT for nonprofits.
  • Experience documenting IT requirements, strategy, and governance processes.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret IT performance data.
  • Exposure to IT service management and monitoring tools.

The base salary for this role is $115,000 to $125,000, depending on level of skills and experience.

The salary range for this position is represented by the low and high end of the range for the amount to be paid for the position. Salaries paid at Enterprise will vary based on factors that may include skills, education, location, experience, and performance. The salary range is just a part of the total rewards package provided to employees at Enterprise, and other rewards may include annual performance bonuses and generous paid leave programs.
