Job Description:

We are seeking an IT and A/V Technician to provide information technology (IT) and media support to the NAVSEA Commander and other senior leaders, performing conference room setup, troubleshooting/ supporting IT issues both onsite and remotely, and addressing end-user incidents promptly. Creates and maintains knowledge management structure for digital artifacts in SharePoint for NAVSEA Commanders Action Group (CAG).

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage Information Technology (IT) and Audio Visual (AV) systems in conference rooms by providing setup, maintenance, user support, and integration with IT systems to ensure effective and efficient meetings.
  • Facilitates the customer's AV/VC needs both in-person and virtually.
  • Conducts pre-meeting IT and media testing and setup.
  • Oversees all aspects of Video Teleconferencing (VTC), Audio/Visual (AV) equipment and related voice/data communications setups for meetings and/or events and performs basic troubleshooting for meetings and conferences.
  • Regularly check equipment or worn-out components to prevent issues and troubleshooting any technical problems that arise during meetings.
  • Provides a proactive approach to learning, adapting to new IT systems and procedures, and stays current with IT and AV technology.
  • Maintain broad knowledge of NAVSEA software/hardware and procedures, and policies such as IT, HR, finance, cyber security, and technical security that impact the user work environment.
  • Coach end users on tools and equipment usage.
  • Maintain CAG's knowledge management, best practices, and obstacles log to assist with information retention and tool updates.
  • Assist in managing and reporting status and implementation of CAG projects to CAG Director and NAVSEA leadership.

Here's what you need:

  • 5 or more years relevant or specialized experience in military program support.
  • Exhibits an advanced level of professionalism and possess decorum when communicating to senior civilian and military leadership and navigating executive environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting ability - independently isolates issues and determines root causes.
  • Diplomatic, team-oriented outlook in conjunction with delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Proficient in deploying and troubleshooting hardware and peripherals and willing to learn and adapt to new systems and procedures/stay current with AV technology
  • Experienced in handling conference room setups, Microsoft Teams conferencing, telephony systems, and collaboration tools.
  • Flexible with daily work hours to meet the Commander's needs.
  • Judgment to escalate issues based on impact.
  • Forward-thinking to support the tactical and strategic goals of the team and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, accepting emergent tasks with little to no supervision and/or direction.
  • Attention to detail and works independently with sufficient knowledge.
  • Strong experience with use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.

Security Clearance:
Interim or Active Secret Clearance Required.

Education:
BS/BA Degree

Compensation and Benefits:
The projected compensation range for this position is $60-70,000. There are numerous factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the role, work location, education/certifications, and a contract's Labor Categories.
