Location: Arlington, Virginia or Huntsville, Alabama | Type: Full-Time | Clearance: Public Trust
Note: This position is part of an active proposal effort and is contingent upon contract award.

Overview
DarkStar Intelligence is seeking a skilled Journeyman Data Scientist to support efforts advancing the mission of the Criminal Investigative Division (CID), the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Center, and the Criminal Proceeds and Money Laundering Center (CPMC). The ideal candidate will have strong technical acumen in data science, ETL processes, and analytics, as well as a background supporting law enforcement or national security objectives. This role requires proficiency in designing and deploying data-driven solutions to uncover hidden connections and generate actionable intelligence from complex datasets across the open web, dark web, and foreign-hosted sources.


Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop methodologies and analytical tools that generate high-quality investigative leads
  • Select and apply appropriate statistical and machine learning techniques, including linear regression, forecasting models, and classification algorithms
  • Identify patterns, trends, and correlations relevant to investigative and enforcement priorities
  • Support the development and maintenance of automated data processing and analytics pipelines
  • Contribute to data ingestion, integration, and fusion efforts to enhance operational efficiency and analytical effectiveness
Minimum Qualifications
  • Active Public Trust clearance
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution in a quantitative discipline such as computer science, data science, statistics, or mathematics
  • Three (3) or more years of experience performing extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes on data collected from the open web, dark web, and foreign-hosted websites
  • Three (3) or more years of experience designing, developing, and deploying advanced analytics to support knowledge discovery and link analysis for law enforcement applications
  • Three (3) or more years of experience with data ingestion, data science methodologies, integration, and fusion in response to evolving intelligence and investigative requirements
