Full-time Faculty Positions Full-time faculty positions will be posted on a per-opening basis. Postings are organized by college/school and department. Applicants will be evaluated at the college/school level for the position which they are submitting an application. Unless noted by a close date, positions will remain open until they are filled. Part-time Faculty Positions DePaul University invites expressions of interest for a pool of qualified Part Time Faculty to teach courses in a variety of disciplines across all 10 colleges and schools. Individuals may enter expressions of interest by submitting their credentials to any posting for which they are qualified to teach. Postings are organized by college/school and department. Screening of individuals in the pool is ongoing, depending on curricular need and funding. Individuals will be contacted by the department if they reach the finalist stage for teaching a particular course or set of courses. The pool will remain in place until the closing date specified in the posting details; those interested in remaining in the pool beyond that time must resubmit. All individuals in the pool will be notified by email when the posting is closed. Apply for this Job Posting DetailsJob ID: 166401 College/School: Chicago, IL - School of Continuing and Professional Studies Position Description:The School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS) at DePaul University is accepting applications from those interested in a part-time opportunity to teach courses addressing various aspects of social media. Course offerings will begin in the Fall 2025 quarter in the asynchronous format. There are three separate courses that address the following content areas: Analytics & Measurement: how to collect and analyze social media data using current measurement tools and advanced measurement tactics. Creating Content: how various social media platforms operate, how to create specialized content for them, examine how companies and organizations use social media. Marketing Fundamentals: history of the Internet, how to identify and evaluate appropriate technologies to market products and services and create social networks. Applicants with training and experience in one or more of these three content areas are welcome to apply. SCPS serves both adult and traditional age students, underserved populations, and provides flexible learning formats and scheduling to meet student needs. The school focuses on lifelong learning skills, including writing, critical thinking, research and career development throughout its a multi-disciplinary curriculum. The school offers a variety of majors including Business Administration, Computer Science, and Applied Behavioral Sciences. To teach at the undergraduate level, a Master's degree is required in a related field to the subject area you wish to teach. To teach at the graduate level, a Doctorate or terminal degree is required in a related field. Experience teaching at the college level is desirable, but not required. Application Instructions:Part-time teaching opportunities are available including online, hybrid, and on-campus throughout the academic year. Applicants with expertise that matches course scheduling needs, demonstrated successful teaching experience, and appropriate, verified qualifications will be contacted for an interview. Academic course schedules fluctuate from quarter to quarter and the school will work with selected individuals to determine a quarterly schedule. Courses are not guaranteed; however, the school does its best to give ample notice about available courses and potential course cancellations. Online courses are taught using the Desire2Learn (D2L) learning management system.
