In this role, you will collaborate with the client to understand the business's structure, policies, and operations. Conducts needs assessments and preliminary cost/benefit analysis to assist in aligning business initiatives with technology solutions. Works closely with end users to analyze, define, model, and document project requirements to be communicated to other team members.

U.S. citizenship is required for this role. In addition, the selected applicant must submit to a government background investigation and be favorably adjudicated before their first day.

Although this is a telecommuting position, candidates must reside in one of the following states: AL, AZ, CO, CT, DE, GA, HI, IL, IN, KS, LA, MD, MA, MI, MN, MO, NJ, NC, OH, OR, PA (excluding the City of Philadelphia), SC, TN, UT, VA, WV, WI and the District of Columbia. We may be able to offer remote employment to individuals residing in Arkansas, Idaho, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, and Vermont. Additionally, the selected candidate must be able to travel to Washington, DC, for laptop pick-up and repairs, as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Coordinates a wide range of projects; oversees and makes decisions on the prioritization and disposition of issues in consultation with ACF leadership
  • Analyzes complex priority issues and makes recommendations to ACF leadership
  • Provides coordination and support for high-level ACF initiatives, such as the implementation of cross-cutting Executive Orders or the implementation of leadership priority goals
  • Acts as a liaison with key personnel, groups, and stakeholders, internal and external to the agency, and independently anticipates and solves problems
  • Writes and prepares talking points, memoranda, high-level internal and external correspondence, and analytical reports on routine and politically related matters to communicate the Assistant Secretary's views, philosophies, or positions to officials in ACF, the Department, and external audiences
  • Represents the Immediate Office of the Assistant Secretary and acts as the point of contact for the receipt, coordination, review, research, and analytical preparation of information


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:



  • At least 3 years of working experience with an IT policy team
  • Working knowledge of policies, guidelines, and standards governing Federal IT acquisitions
  • Working experience developing business process models and performing workflow analysis, and working with technical SMEs
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to apply quick, logical thinking to solve complex problems
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly process and master a wide range of subject matter
  • Excellent time management and ability to juggle multiple tasks under strict deadlines
  • Knowledge of Business Process Management and/or Lean Six Sigma methodologies
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Visio
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to interact with an executive audience

Internal title/grade: Business Analyst, T4
Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000

All individuals being hired to work for TCG must submit to, and successfully pass, a pre-employment background investigation prior to reporting for their first day of work. The pre-employment background investigation will include verification of employment and education, as well as, a criminal and DMV check.

Additional documentation and background checks will also be required for positions that require clearance from the Federal government.
