Your role
As a Senior Accounting Specialist, your mission is to supporting the Finance department in day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close activities, financial reporting, and compliance. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring adherence to internal controls and company policies. You will report to the Finance Manager
You will be responsible for the following tasks:
* Prepare and post journal entries as part of the monthly general ledger close process * Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements, intercompany balances, accruals, and prepaids * Approve month-end reports within the Atlas Copco reporting system * Approve bank wires, ACH payments and internal bank requests * Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting requirements * Post monthly payroll within SAP including payroll approval within internal bank * Liaison for both internal and external audit during hard-close and year-end close including responding directly to auditor requests * Maintain fixed asset records, ensuring proper capitalization and depreciation in accordance with policy * Perform variance analysis and provide clear, actionable commentary to management * Ensure compliance with IFRS and corporate accounting policies * Support process improvements, automation efforts, and system implementations as needed * Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as Purchasing, HR, and Operations * Share knowledge and provide informal coaching or guidance to Accounting Specialists, supporting their development and contributing to team capability * Perform other duties as assigned or requested, relevant to the role or department, which may evolve to meet business needs

* A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field * A minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting * Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards * Familiarity with IFRS 16 and its application in a global reporting environment * Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel * Excellent analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail * Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills * The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team * Preferred: Experience working in a multinational or global organization
