Your Job

The S&OP Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring integration and alignment between sales strategies and operational plans. This role is critical in driving cross-functional collaboration to optimize production planning, manage inventory effectively, and balance network supply for order fulfillment and trading strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strategic outlook with the ability to anticipate and adjust to business risks, ensuring that our operations and sales plans align.


Our Team

Our Integrated Business Planning team supports GP's Wood-Products businesses, including Plywood, OSB, and Lumber. We collaborate with Sales and Manufacturing to align and optimize short- and medium-term operating plans with the overall business strategy. Our responsibilities include managing and providing insights into production, sales, and inventory plans to ensure they are coordinated, effective, and optimal.


What You Will Do

  • Collaboratively develop and implement comprehensive supply plans that balance operational and market constraints.
  • Balance supply and demand across the network to ensure optimal order fulfillment.
  • Manage and monitor inventory levels to support production and sales plans while addressing inventory risks.
  • Conduct regular reviews of sales and operations plans to identify potential conflicts and ensure alignment.
  • Maintain a multi-week outlook to anticipate potential risks to sales and operational plans, allowing for timely adjustments.
  • Collaborate closely with the Sales team to ensure accurate demand forecasting and execution of sales strategies.
  • Work in partnership with manufacturing mills to align production schedules and capacity with sales objectives.
  • Develop and utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement in the S&OP process.


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions with incomplete information.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate across departments.
  • Experience in supply chain management, production planning, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
