Pay Range Starting at $24.00 Job Objective: As the Payroll Specialist you will ensure accurate processing and recording of The Salvation Army's payroll, providing timely and accurate financial information, participating in-biweekly data entry Payroll processing by reviewing, verifying accuracy of figures and computations. Balancing and reconciling accounts and importing employee's timecards into ADP via spreadsheets completed and approved by each corps location. In addition, responsible for various clerical tasks such as processing all personnel, payroll, hiring and benefit transactions by maintaining and recording the accumulation and use of vacation, sick, discretionary days, holidays and leave of absences, for all corps locations ...ensuring that the Mission of The Salvation Army is effectively carried out. Minimum Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal education, experience, skills, and/or abilities required for this position. Education: High School Diploma required, Associates Degree with emphasis on business or accounting preferred Background Checks: Position requires a background check to be completed, and all background check results will be reviewed. Experience: Two years of financial record keeping or payroll computerized payroll processing; Any combination equivalent to college level course work in human resources or related field with human resources experience; Some experience working with an outside payroll company and in an office environment Certifications: Must have a valid driver's license and maintain The Salvation Army Driver's qualification standard; must complete Safe From Harm training within the first 90 days of employment.
