Position Title: Assembly Maintenance Technician

Wage: $23.00/hour

Shift: 2nd

Hours: 2:00pm - 10:30pm (Monday - Friday)

Assembly Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

- Analyze mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and plans for and take corrective actions

- Make necessary corrections and run adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality

- Review production schedule and when equipment is not scheduled for manufacturing, change over equipment to new pole sizes of perform scheduled maintenance

- Test equipment to check operation

- Clear jams and inspect product after setup or repair

- Examine tests and measure product from assigned equipment for quality specification, using gauges and instruments, and record the data on appropriate forms

- Check products for visual defects

- Operate equipment during relief periods or manpower shortages

- Perform product examination and rework when assigned

- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department and employees

- Assign maintenance personnel and schedules to maximize production schedules

- Set up machines and repair them as needed

Requirements for Assembly Maintenance Technician:

- High school diploma and trade school education

- At least two years of experience as Maintenance "B" Technician or a combination of 5 years experience

- Previous assembly or other type of machinery operation is a plus, but will train

- Able to multi-task

- Able to use precision measuring equipment (micrometers, dial calipers, comparators, etc.)

- Able to converse and write in English using technical terms for the production industry

- Working knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, English/metric conversions and simple application geometry

- Able to make advanced decisions concerning quality, machine operation and processing adjustments

- Able to stand for duration of shift

- Able to see small defects with the aid of a microscope

- Able to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
