THE POSITION

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board's (PLCB) Fine Wine & Good Spirits brand is seeking a District Manager for Store Operations in District 4, Region 2 which covers Lackawanna, Bradford, Susquehanna, and Wyoming Counties. This position will be home-headquartered OR headquartered at an office location within the district.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a District Manager within Store Operations at the PLCB, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and development of the store management teams within the district by building an independent, high-performing team that is dedicated to achieving results and supporting agency strategies. This includes inspecting stores and conducting meetings on a regular basis, cultivating an environment of open communication, and shaping teams through consistent selection, development, mentoring and motivation. You will also analyze district and store performance in order to deliver appropriate feedback to store and regional management, develop a district strategy to meet all agency goals and objectives, and oversee the implementation of new operational policies and procedures.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • This position requires travel. Travel expense will be paid.
  • Travel covers Lackawanna, Bradford, Susquehanna, and Wyoming Counties.
  • Telework: This position is home headquartered. In order to be home headquartered, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a State Liquor Store Administrator 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Two years as a State Liquor Store Administrator 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Seven years of retail store experience at the manager or assistant manager level which includes administrative and management experience involving the review, analysis, and implementation of procedures, policies, and directives; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes administrative and management experience involving the review, analysis, and implementation of procedures, policies, and directives.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
