Responsibilities

RECEPTIONIST POSITION- BEHAVIORAL HEALTH- Full time

Horizon Health is seeking a Receptionist for our clinic in Highpoint, NC. The Receptionist is responsible for greeting and assisting all visitors, answering calls, and checking in patients. In addition, the receptionist may assist with various clerical duties and projects as assigned by the OTP Program Director. This position will cover the reception desk when the full time employee is out of office.

The clinic hours are Monday-Friday 6a-2p and Saturrday 6a-9a.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Great and assist all visitors, ensuring they sign the visitor log and obtain a visitor pass
  • Enroll new patients in the Electronic Health Record and provide new patient packet
  • Complete billing episode and patient check-in upon arrival
  • Answer the disseminate all incoming calls on the switchboard in a professional and courteous manner within 3 rings.
  • Provide assistance to patients and employees as needed
  • Facilitate inquiry call sheet and route to clinician for inquiry calls
  • Schecule new patient intake appointments
  • Maintain MD schedule in EHR and provide to physician daily
  • Reconcile cash box and submit to business office daily
  • Ensure work area and waiting area are clean and professional at all times.

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • 2 years experience on a multi-line telephone switchboard, preferably in a health care environment, computer skills and any combination of education, training, or experience in a hospital environment preferred.
