Job Summary

The Vice President of Marketing Technology (VP, Martech) is a strategic, cross-functional leader who brings a true product mindset to Risepoint's Marketing technology portfolio. Acting as the chief product officer for this area, the VP of Martech sets the vision, strategy, and iterative roadmap for Risepoint's digital marketing products which inform and attract prospective students. This leader owns the full product lifecycle - research, prioritization, design, development, launch, measurement and continuous optimization across CMS, campaign automation, analytics, personalization, SEO, and AEO. In support of the North American, UK and Australian regions, the VP of Martech ensures every product is scalable, secure, high performing, and outcome driven, delivering measurable growth and ROI while elevating awareness, acquisition, and engagement throughout the student journey.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead a cross-functional product team of product managers, engineers, product owners, scrum masters, and analysts in the overall creation and management of a marketing technology solutions used by our marketing teams to educate and attract prospective students.

  • Define and lead the marketing technology product strategy and roadmap in collaborative partnership with the Digital Marketing teams.

  • Act as lead business consultant/solution architect for complex, cross-functional initiatives, advising business stakeholders on potential best practices and providing direction to ensure timely execution of goals.

  • Lead innovative efforts to identify and implement product features to improve website scalability/performance, data quality, system reliability, and user confidence

  • Align technical execution with business priorities and marketing outcomes.

  • Mentor and grow a high-performing Martech team.

  • Stay informed on MarTech trends and continuously evolving the technology ecosystem, including marketing technology/website principles, technologies, data modeling, and architecture.

  • Guide architectural decisions across CMS platforms, CDNs, Lead Intake, MarTech tools, and integrations with Enterprise Data and CRM platforms.

  • Ensure the successful execution of prioritized initiatives, highlight cross-functional dependencies, facilitate the reduction of roadblocks, and support day-to-day operations/improvement efforts.

  • Leverage stakeholder insights and business objectives to establish priorities and translate them into goals for the Martech teams

  • Align process and engineering practices with other technology functional and operational teams.

  • Advocate for automation, security, and resilience in the MarTech product features

Additional Position Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships across Business Technology, Marketing & Ops, and the international business leaders as well as other key business stakeholders to improve collaboration and cross functional alignment on business outcome and goals. Act as a strategic ambassador for Business Technology, representing the function in Marketing & Ops leadership forums. Build credibility and trust by communicating the tech product value proposition and operating model to external stakeholders and Partners, offering insights that enhance understanding and drive shared outcomes.

  • May engage directly with Partners to offer insights into how we operate that can have downstream effects. Collaborate with Marketing and Technology teams to ensure alignment during times of change. Cultivate strong cross-functional partnerships across Business Technology (BT), Marketing & Ops, and international business units, ensuring alignment on shared business goals and outcomes. Drive collaborative development initiatives and lead coordination efforts that span multiple functions to improve enterprise-wide delivery and execution.

  • Oversees functional budgets and external resource allocations, including contractor and vendor spend. Drives performance accountability and ensures strategic utilization of third-party partnerships to maximize ROI.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's or Master's degree

Computer Science, Business, Marketing, or equivalent experience

15+ years Product Management and/or Engineering with 10+ years in multi-brand MarTech leadership

CMS & Hosting

WordPress, Pantheon

Optimizely, Tealium, SEMrush, Ahrefs, FullStory, Google BigQuery

Salesforce

Digital Asset Management systems

Azure, GCP; CI/CD, DevOps

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
