Job Description: Overview Deriva Energy, a portfolio company of Brookfield Renewable U.S., who is a nationwide leader in sustainable energy provides wind, solar, resilient backup power, and managed energy services to over 1,000 projects across the U.S., with a total electric capacity of more than 5,100 megawatts of nonregulated renewable energy is seeking a Lead Procurement Specialist to be based in their Charlotte, North Carolina, headquarters. Depending on qualifications, candidates may be offered a position of Associate Manager, Procurement within the position hierarchy. Reporting to the Associate Director, Development Procurement, the successful candidate will be integral to establishing the strategic procurement function at Deriva Energy and be a key member of the supply chain leadership team. The successful candidate's mandate will involve building and maintaining a sourcing strategy and enhancing relationships with key vendors to support the business's needs for all equipment and services required for the businesses' project development and new construction. Additionally, this role will be responsible for overseeing the supplier selection, solicitation of proposals, negotiations and ensure agreements are in place with technical and commercial suppliers. Key responsibilities include the sourcing, negotiation, and implementation of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) agreements, primary equipment procurement (wind turbines, solar equipment, etc.), major equipment procurement, and other procurement contracts supporting development (such as owner's engineering).
