Description

This position is responsible for ensuring MBL and commercial loans are accurate and complete with proper documentation in accordance with MBL Regulations. The Commercial Lending Administrator works closely with lenders, members, and various vendors to ensure deadlines are met & prioritized accordingly.

Provides members with a superior level of service related to commercial loans as needed. Commercial Lending Administrator will ensure commercial loan files adhere to credit union policies and that procedures are upheld. Hybrid Eligible - must be in office 3 days per week including Monday & Friday.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains loan processing software ensuring templates are set up for accurate documentation. Updates interest rate indexes within loan processing software. Provides backup support to loan processing to generate and maintain required loans documentation in compliance with all federal, state, and credit union requirements.
  • Completes audit of booked loans for quality control, ensuring required documentation is in the file. Reviews paid loan files and upholds process.
  • Compiles reports including: delinquent real estate taxes, MBL committee reports and SBA 1502. Handles HMDA reporting: makes entries into LAR that comply with standards.
  • Maintains and updates rate sheets on a weekly basis.
  • Aids accounting department regarding general ledgers, balancing or call report questions.
  • Works with IT and third-party vendors during new product implementation, and ongoing maintenance and revisions of systems and applications.
  • Provides members with loan servicing support as needed.

Other Duties

  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control

Requirements

Experience/Education/Certifications/Licenses

  • High School degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 to 4 years experience, preferably supporting commercial lending operations

Demonstrated Knowledge

  • Knowledge of Credit Union consumer and commercial products, services, policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other commercial loan software
  • Knowledge of UCC documents
  • Ability to perform collateral perfection, including real property and UCC
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to use clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to problem solve, organize multiple tasks and to maintain a courteous demeanor in a busy, high stress work environment
  • Ability to recognize and troubleshoot system problems and inefficiencies

Communication Skills

Ability to proactively respond to members/staff to problem solve based on guidelines; written communications are based on templates but can be modified

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit and stand; answer calls; operate computer; interact with internal staff and public on the phone; travel to designated offices; lift up to 20 lbs

The salary range for this position is: $30.35 -$40.78. This range reflects the base salary for this position. We have other benefits associated with this position which include: low-cost medical (as low as $20 a paycheck), dental insurance, vision insurance, quarterly bonuses, generous vacation and sick time hours, paid leave options, up to 6% 401k contribution, and tuition reimbursement.
