Carpenter - Healthcare Construction

Summary

Carpenter will be responsible for utilizing tools to support healthcare and commercial construction projects throughout Billings, MT.

Duties

• Champions "The Layton Way" by delivering predictable outcomes for internal teams, external teams, and customers.
• Ensures that "Constructing with Integrity" is delivered by working with honesty, unity, safety, and quality of work.
• Apply applicable materials to hardened concrete walls for a smoother architectural appearance.
• Identify hazards associated with task assignments and ask questions if clarification is needed.
• Comply with all the safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Safety personnel.
• Work effectively as a team member of the field workforce.
• Follow supervisor instructions and decisions.
• Understand and follow lock out/tag out procedures.
• This position may supervise apprentice finishers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working as a carpenter within commercial and/or healthcare industry.
• Ability to read/interpret blueprints and schematic drawings.
• Understands and conveys basic English commands, questions, and instructions regarding commercial construction.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exist.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to use carpentry math to calculate measurements.
• Owns all hand/power tools
• Commits to and meets all scheduled attendance and production deadlines
