To help guide the collaborative effort, we are in search of a Software Engineer III to join our team.

What's the Role? The Planning Solutions team builds the suite of applications that takes the company's vision of being at the center of the financial lives of our clients forward. The PS engineering space is divided into various teams that work across the stack to deliver functionality to the business, starting from the front-end UI to the back-end financial planning and modelling platform. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on initiatives that span across various areas of the platform and work with teams that specialize in a broad range of areas in the stack.
This team works on delivering the the foundational components of the Planning Solutions stack. In this role, you will be involved with working with various stakeholders to define, implement and test features that will be used by a broad set to teams to implement solutions for our financial planning clients.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Implements holistic solutions utilizing working relationships across the enterprise.
  • Designs, organizes, and executes high impact solutions across teams both within and outside their division.
  • Establishes, aggregates, and shares enterprise standards and best practices.
  • Mentors and guides junior engineers within respective division.
  • Ensures production stability, monitoring, and root cause analysis is executed for their products.
  • 3+ years of professional experience working in a complex financial domain.
  • Experience developing and leading solution delivery using Agile methods.
  • Ability to effectively communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences in varying forms and levels of detail.
  • Solid understanding of design patterns and architecture.
  • Experience with SDLC process.
  • Experience with Financial Programming.
  • A track record of delivering high-quality software in the FinTech space and experience engineering complex systems.
  • Ability to develop solutions of complex problems independently.
  • Experience working in an enterprise software environment (CI/CD, K8s, Docker, etc.)
  • Financial planning or modeling experience in an OO/FP programming language, particularly for the JVM
  • Bonus: Functional programming paradigms and design patterns, AWS experience, infrastructure-design/application architecture experience
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of professional experience.
  • Technical skills: Spring boot, Java, Kotlin, Data modeling, S3, REST, Domain APIs, Postgres, Domain APIs, Business Events, Hibernate
  • Experience developing and leading solution delivery using Agile methods.
  • Ability to effectively communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences in varying forms and levels of detail.
  • Experience working on broad initiatives in a full stack engineer capacity.
  • Solid understanding of design patterns and architecture.
  • Experience with data modelling and data transformation.
  • Ability to work independently as well as lead a small team of developers
  • Experience working in an enterprise software environment (CI/CD, K8s, Docker, etc.)
  • BS/MS or higher in Computer Science or related field of study

Compensation Range:

Pay Range - Start:

$92,750.00

Pay Range - End:

$172,250.00

Geographic Specific Pay Structure:

205 - Structure 110: 102,060.00 USD - 189,540.00 USD 205 - Structure 115: 106,680.00 USD - 198,120.00 USD
