General Maintenance Assistant

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Worker to join our team and assist in a broad range of maintenance responsibilities including building/minor construction, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, etc.

Required Schedule: Monday-Saturday, Sundays as needed. Ability to work holidays/weekends, and overtime as required

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Assistance in maintenance of all refrigeration equipment in proper operating conditions

* Detect, locate and repair all malfunctions

* Responsible for replacing and repairing electrical items, light fixtures and outlet switches

* Replacing heating and cooling filters

* Interior and exterior painting

* Performs minor and major repairs of all buildings and equipment.

* Repairs/replacing any broken windows, doors, door locks, and ceiling tiles

* Installs electrical wiring and equipment, new electrical services

* During inclement weather maintain interior/ exterior of the facility

* Other duties as assigned

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

• Must possess a valid driver license with acceptable record
• Minimum of 2 years prior general maintenance experience required
• Prior experience working in an industrial/plant setting
• Must possess high levels of mechanical skills
• Experienced at troubleshooting and offering recommendations/options
• Must have familiarity in general maintenance to include:
  1. Plumbing
  2. Electrical
  3. Refrigeration
  4. Snow removal
• Prior experience operating snow blow equipment, loader, backhoe, and various hand-tools
