This role is part of Alcon's OTC Marketing function, a team that provides access to products across all channels, including through traditional Marketing strategies, event planning, and professional education.

As an Assistant Brand Manager, you will partner with the brand managers in the planning, crafting, and implementation of marketing and promotional materials for our category leading OTC brands, ensuring delivery against sales and market share targets. This role will focus mainly on Shopper/Retailer and Professional Marketing activities.

A typical day could include:

  • Working with brand managers, trade team sales partners, advertising agencies and cross-functional partners to develop and implement promotional plans.
  • Conducting brand performance tracking, identifying key drivers, and indicated actions. Looking into ad hoc analysis work such as return on investment analysis and customer targeting analysis.
  • Strategic project leadership under the supervision of brand management, owning from insight mining to briefing, and delivering final execution.
  • Coordinating execution of marketing activities that could include retail assets, social media, website, digital displays, professional media/publications, and sales materials preparation
  • Leading brand projects through the material approval process and the review committee
  • Monitoring business performance, sales results, market share, and creating materials to share results with leadership
  • Leading the Marketing Budget process for assigned brand team
  • Monitor and control brand budgets, forecasts, and expenses, utilizing the marketing mix to evaluate cost-effectiveness and results

What you'll bring to alcon:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6 yrs; M.S.+0 yrs).
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
  • 2 Years of Relevant Experience

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Strong project management skills with proven track record to maintain project timelines.
  • CPG or Shopper experience preferred
  • Ability to collaborate well and lead cross-functional teams to achieve goals and meet objectives.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate insights into recommended actions.
  • Strategic thinker adept at identifying growth opportunities and performing with excellence.
  • Operates with sense of urgency and ownership.
  • Related experience in marketing/advertising
