TEKsystems is looking for a highly skilled* .NET Backend Developer* to join a collaborative, fast-moving engineering team. This is a hands-on role focused almost entirely on backend development, ideal for someone who thrives in a pod-based environment and enjoys modernizing legacy systems. What You'll Do * Develop and maintain backend services using .NET Core 8, with a strong emphasis on WebAPI architecture. * Work within pod-based teams, some of which are actively converting legacy systems to modern .NET Core 8 microservices. * Collaborate with engineers across hybrid and remote setups, contributing to a culture of trust, autonomy, and high performance. * Participate in architectural discussions and help break down monolithic systems into scalable microservices. * Ensure quality through backend testing using Postman and unit testing frameworks. What We're Looking For * Expertise in .NET Core (v5+), especially with WebAPI development. * Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) is a plus. * Familiarity with cloud platforms-especially AWS (preferred), though Azure or GCP is also valued. * Exposure to CI/CD pipelines using Azure Pipelines. * Experience with microservices and system decomposition is highly desirable. * Strong communication skills and a proven ability to work independently in a distributed team environment. Tools & Technologies You'll Use * .NET Core 8, C#, ASP.NET, WebAPI * AWS (including OpenSearch, ElastiCache) * Azure Pipelines for CI/CD * Flyway for database migrations * Grafana for logging and monitoring * Postman for backend API testing * RESTful Web Services, Unit Testing Frameworks Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $75.00/hr.
