The Senior MDM Analyst is responsible for analyzing master data and data sources to identify trends and patterns that can be used to improve business processes and operational efficiency, including data-driven decision-making. The analyst typically focuses on ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and availability across an organization's data. This role involves tasks like data cleansing, validation, and governance, as well as collaborating with other teams to maintain data integrity. The Senior MDM Analyst may also provide statistical and analytical support to key stakeholders (including leadership) by creating institutional and ad-hoc reports, providing expert advice in the usage and interpretation of data for assigned business units.
Here's what you can expect from the job and what you need to be successful:
Job Duties
  • Engage with stakeholders to define and approve master data matching and survivorship rules across the enterprise
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to analyze and solve master data issues and provide support for efficient daily operations
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand current and future business needs, and identify improvement opportunities; research, test, evaluate and recommend procedures to meet changing business needs
  • Identify and drive cross functional process improvement and technology implementation that support the strategic priorities of the business.
  • Create and maintain operating procedures and other documentation for process design and evaluation, training, etc.
  • Provide training to other business units on MDM processes and concepts
  • Support MDM application administration, configuration and maintenance activities
  • Partner with IT teams to ensure accurate and timely data acquisition and distribution interfaces
Essential Skills
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Master Data Analyst, preferably in the financial services industry
  • Working knowledge of industry best practices for MDM solutions (such as Informatica, Reltio, SAP)
  • Strong business acumen and/or business analyst experience to translate business goals into technical requirements
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end Master Data Management practices
  • Proficient in SQL
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end data lifecycle across traditional data warehouses, relational and star-schema databases, business intelligence reporting and analytics is preferred
  • Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, data quality, data modeling, and data architecture concepts
  • Ability to anticipate needs and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and high-volume peaks while producing high-quality work
  • Exemplary communication skills: oral and written, with ability to translate complex data or technical concepts to business teams and senior management
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Proven ability to build consensus across multiple stakeholder groups through partnership
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, primarily Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics or related field
Location: Hillsboro, OR | San Jose, CA (HYBRID)
Target Compensation in Hillsboro, OR: $110k - $125k annually + annual bonus
Target Compensation in San Jose, CA: $138k - $157k annually + annual bonus
